For the past 12 years she has studied and was an assistant instructor with Wah Lum Tam Tui Praying Mantis Kung Fu.  She studied at USF and received a BA in Psychology and a Master’s in Social Work. She is currently fulfilling her dream by owing a gym in downtown. She focuses on boxing, kick boxing, cardio intensive training, functional training, resistance training, and agility training in order to improve and enhance her client's physical strength while also promoting health, wellness, and accountability. ALYSHIA NIXON Sweatshop Dance Challenge Alyshia has been dancing for more than 16 years and has been able to perform at many events including LDS 10 & 11, Wild Splash, T-Pain's Super Bowl Bash and Guavaween. With Alyshia’s hype young energy dance style she stays much focused on making people feeling good while dancing and bringing out their inner “Diva”. Alyshia has also had the opportunity to work and train with many of the dance industry’s most influential choreographers including; Nick Bass, Marty Kudelka, Tony Testa, Dave Scott, GiGi Torres, April Rodriguez, Wade Robson, Cris Judd, and more. ABDELHAK CHEGRI ABDELHAK is a Personal Trainer with a Black Belt in Karate and will be teaching the URBAN WARRIOR class at the SweatShop. JORGE ALVARADO Owner/Trainer/Sweatshop Dance Challenge Jorge has an extensive career in choreography, instructing and performance. His natural flair, charisma and unique style of blending Pop and Hip Hop dance will definitely have you feeling like a music video star. 10 years and still going Jorge continues to maintain an impressive following in the bay area and has been featured in the Tampa Tribune, The St.Pete Times and WFLA Channel 8. Jorge has had the opportunity to work with, choreograph and instruct recording artists like Willa Ford, Kristine W., Pepa Mashay of the Weather Girls, International D.J.s Tracy Young, Chris Cox, Abel, fashion designer Andrew Christian and local celebrities like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Cheerleaders, The Tampa Bay Lightning, News Channel 8's Gayle Guyardo and Giselle from MTV reality show Road Rules. ANNA RAWSON Sweatshop Dance Challenge With 15 years of Ballet and Pointe training in the Boston Ballet and thirty performances of "The Nutcracker" in the Massachusetts Ballet, Anna arrives on scene to offer a fresh fitness-based dance class. Anna was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts where she focused on Performing Arts and Dance Choreography. Her experience in various styles, brings an eclectic and energetic vibe to her choreography. After earning a B.S. in Psychology and Human Development from the University of Vermont, she came to Florida for hotter temperatures and is excited to teach even hotter classes. Come in and experience the class that melds Modern, West African, Tribal, Hip-Hop and defines Dance Fusion Fitness! BARBARA SOTO Yoga Barbara came from Argentina on a NCAA Division I Tennis Scholarship to play for the OHIO VALLEY CONFERENCE for Tennessee Technological University at Cookeville, TN.  She was a member of the team to become the only Women’s Conference Champion in the history of the University. Before that, she was trained in South America and Canada as a Yoga teacher.  She was able to apply the yoga techniques to tennis and other sports. Currently both a YOGA and TENNIS instructor, she brings a holistic approach to training and competing. During her Junior Tennis career in South America, Barbara achieved the number 1 ranking in singles for Open category for Division 6, 5 and 4.  She also helped Velez Sarfield Club to ascend to first division during the interclub competition making her the best player of the club back from 1996-1997. Now trained by the USTA's 10 and Under Tennis Workshop for teaching professionals, she is helping kids as well as adults to learn and play the game of tennis. CANDICE CUNNINGHAM Modern Dance Candice is from Mesa, AZ, where she graduated from Mesa Community College with her AFA in dance, highest distinction. While at MCC she performed with the MCC Dance Company for four semesters, during which time she displayed her choreographic works alongside faculty and other student choreography in shows. During her many years of training she has studied various styles of dance consisting of but not limited to ballet, jazz, modern, latin, flamenco, and lyrical. She graduated this spring from Cornish College of the Arts with her BFA in Dance. Her Modern dance class incorporates flowing and sustained movements with the contrast of sharp accents all while moving through space.
